Our Story
About "Gilli Mitti"
In dusty lanes, in monsoon drizzles,
In mango - stained smiles and scraped knees,
In grandma's lullabies and gentle scoldings.
Our threads are stories, hand - stitched with care,
Of gili - danda games and temple fairs,
Of cotton kurtas worn with joy,
Of values whispered, not taught - just known.
Rooted in tradition, yet made for today,
Each garment holds a memory at play.
From mitti - covered toes to festive lights,
We dress the little ones in love and rites.
Because every child is a poem in motion -
And Gilli Mitti is the rhythm of their emotion.

Founder's Note
About "Gilli Mitti"
As a mother, I always believed children’s clothes should be simple, comfortable, and full of warmth. While searching for outfits, I realized how rare it is to find clothing that truly feels easy, natural, and meaningful.
That thought led to GilliMitti.
Inspired by childhood memories, a deep connection to the earth, and the love with which mothers and grandmothers once made clothes, GilliMitti is my small attempt to bring that feeling back.
With soft fabrics, simple designs, and thoughtful details like embroidery and hand-painted elements, we create outfits that are comfortable, beautiful, and rooted in our culture.
Because every child deserves clothing made with care and love.

Our Values
Gilli Mitti is a celebration of childhood - those carefree giggles, muddy feet, festive twirls, and stories told under neem trees. Inspired by playful memories and the timeless teachings of our elders. Every thread tells a story - from muddy games to festive days - bringing culture and innocence together in every outfit.
Our kid's wear is rooted in Indian values and wrapped in play, letting children just be - free,, curious, and full of wonder. It's not just clothing. It's a piece of home.
For childhoods made of mitti, masti and memories

Our Vision
Gilli Mitti is dedicated to empowering local tailors and artisans by creating meaningful opportunities in an increasingly automated world.
By valuing hand - crafted skills over mass production, Gilli Mitti collaborates directly with non-tech but highly skilled workers - such as traditional tailors, block printers, hand embroiderers, and weavers - offering them consistent work, fair wages, and creative recognition.
Through its slow fashion approach, Gilli Mitti helps preserve age-old techniques while giving artisans a platform to thrive in modern markets.
Rather than replacing people with machines, it invests in people-creating sustainable jobs, nurturing local craftsmanship, and helping these communities grow with dignity and pride
